My roots reach deeply, I am connected to the core of me.
~The above is a line from the song titled, “I Am Connected“ by Beautiful Chorus
Can you feel it? The pressure? The feeling that major change is near? Emotional outbursts or an inner discord that you’re doing your best to either work through, ignore or escape from?
Really the only choice we can make that will ever make a huge shift is to sit with it, look at it, make amends and otherwise forgive it and then it will release. Though many of us including myself at times are avoiding or distracting in our numerous ways that we’ve been preconditioned to use, to help soothe ourselves. Some are healthy ways to move the energy while others are simply a band-aid that seems to relieve the stress in the moment, but it is only temporary and can in fact leave you feeling worse on the other side of that choice.
Connection to Source, an energy that is bigger than our individual human selves, God (possible trigger word), The Universe, All That Is, Life Force Energy, Chi, Prana (it really doesn’t matter how we refer to it)— is what we are all being asked to connect with INTENTIONALLY. Naturally it flows through us as we are made of it yet we get caught up in our mind/ego and listen to that, instead of the quiet whisper or nudge we FEEL from within our hearts.
(The heart is known to be our “little brain”.)
This is a part of ourselves that many of us have been pushing away. Otherwise known as our Divinity; our deep seeded knowledge that we are all one and what we do to our neighbor, our brothers and sisters we do unto ourselves.
Every single day we wake up, we are being asked to do differently be differently, do better be better and to love ourselves so that we can love each other—free from judgments & hate.
How many times in a day are we putting ourselves or others down? Be present and take note (Pause)
How many times in a day are we being asked to make a different decision, when we are presented with a moment between another individual that challenges us?
Until we learn how to truly accept ourselves for all that we dislike we will never fully be able to do this for another. Why? Because we are interconnected, energetic beings, bound by the little tiny atoms that are bouncing up against each other and intertwining EVERYTHING. WE are a part of the EVERYTHING. Isn’t that beautiful?
Close your eyes and breathe deeply connecting yourself to Mother Earth. Look up to the sky and bless it. Be thankful for the entirety of your life. The good, the bad and the ugly. REPEAT.
Forgive yourself and forgiving others will be easier. It’s a daily practice for all of us.
